In this article, you will find information about the fuses of the Volkswagen ID.3 (models 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022), including diagrams of the fuse boxes, a list of fuses and relays, their designation, and the location of the fuse blocks within the vehicle.
Checking and Replacing Fuses in VW ID3
Therefore fuses should only be replaced when the cause of the fault has been rectified. If a new fuse blows again shortly after fitting, have the electrical system checked by a qualified workshop as soon as possible.
Caution!
- Never fit fuses that have a higher fuse rating. Fuses must always be replaced by a new fuse with the same amp rating (same colour and markings) and size.
- Never repair a fuse.
- Never use a metal strip, paper clip or similar objects to replace a fuse.
- Never remove the specially tagged high-voltage fuses from the fuse box in the dash panel. These are for the exclusive use of the emergency services so that the vehicle can be deenergised as quickly as possible.
Fuses in the Front Compartment
Press the locking button in the direction of the arrow in order to unlock the cover of the fuse box.

Fuses in the Dash Panel
Left-hand drive vehicles:
Reach behind the cover and pull off in the direction of the arrow.
Right-hand drive vehicles:
Push damper element upwards into the opening of the holder and pull out to the side (1). Push catches upwards in the direction of the arrow at the same time open the stowage compartment further (2).
