Checking and Replacing Fuses in GMC Jimmy
The wiring circuits in your vehicle are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses, circuit breakers and fusible thermal links.
Look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Extra fuses and the fuse extractor are provided in the cover.
Caution!
- Installation or use of fuses that do not meet GM’s original fuse specifications is dangerous. The fuses could fail, and result in a fire. You or others could be injured or killed, and the vehicle could be damaged.
- Be sure you replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating.
Location of the Fuse Box
The fuse block is at the driver’s end of the instrument panel.
To Access: Remove the cover by turning the fastener counterclockwise.
