In this article, you will find information about the fuses of the Chevrolet Traverse (models 2018, 2020, and 2021), including diagrams of the fuse boxes, a list of fuses and relays, their designation, and the location of the fuse blocks within the vehicle.
Checking and Replacing Fuses in Chevy Traverse
To check a fuse, look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure to replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating. Fuses of the same amperage can be temporarily borrowed from another fuse location, if a fuse goes out. Replace the fuse as soon as possible.
To remove a fuse, use the fuse puller located in the Engine Compartment Fuse block.
Caution!
Fuses and circuit breakers are marked with their ampere rating. Do not exceed the specified amperage rating when replacing fuses and circuit breakers. Use of an oversized fuse or circuit breaker can result in a vehicle fire.
Location of Fuse Boxes
Instrument Panel Fuse Block:
The instrument panel fuse block is inside the center console on the passenger side of the vehicle. Remove the fuse access door by inserting a coin or tool into the slot of the access door.
Engine Compartment Fuse Block:
The underhood fuse block is in the engine compartment, on the driver side of the vehicle. To remove the fuse block cover, press the clips on the cover and lift it straight up.
Rear Compartment Fuse Block:
The rear compartment fuse block is behind a trim panel on the driver side of the rear storage compartment. The trim panel is removed by prying along the top edge of the trim panel at two notched locations. Remove the trim panel to access the fuse block. The fuse block label is on the back of the access door in the driver side rear trim panel.
