Checking and Replacing Fuses in Chevy Orlando

The wiring circuits in the vehicle are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses and circuit breakers. This greatly reduces the chance of damage caused by electrical problems. To check a fuse, look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure to replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating. Before replacing a fuse, turn off the respective switch and the ignition.

Instrument Panel Fuse Block

Left-hand drive vehicles:
The instrument panel fuse block is in the driver side of instrument panel.

To access the fuses:

1. Open the storage compartment by pulling out at the top.
2. Squeeze the sides of the compartment in and rotate it downward.
3. Remove the compartment.
4. To reinstall the compartment, reverse the steps above.

Right-hand drive vehicles:
In right-hand drive vehicles, the fuse box is located in the glovebox.

Engine Compartment Fuse Block:
To remove the fuse block cover, squeeze the clips and lift it up.
