Checking and Replacing Fuses in Chevy Captiva
A blown fuse can be recognised by its melted wire. Do not replace the fuse until the cause of the fault has been remedied. Before replacing a fuse, turn off the respective switch and the ignition.
Caution!
Data on the replacement fuse must match the data on the defective fuse. Do not exceed the specified amperage rating when replacing fuses and circuit breakers. Use of an oversized fuse or circuit breaker can result in a vehicle fire.
Location of Fuse Boxes
Interior Fuse Block:
Interior fuse block is located in the left side of the front passenger foot well.
Engine Compartment Fuse Block:
Engine room fuse block is next to the coolant reservoir. Auxiliary engine room fuse block (Diesel only) is located in the centre of the front panel.
