In this article, you will find information about the fuses of the Buick Envision (models 2016, 2017, and 2018), including diagrams of the fuse boxes, a list of fuses and relays, their designation, and the location of the fuse blocks within the vehicle.
Checking and Replacing Fuses in Buick Envision
The wiring circuits in the vehicle are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses and circuit breakers. This greatly reduces the chance of damage caused by electrical problems.
To check a fuse, look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure to replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating. Fuses of the same amperage can be temporarily borrowed from another fuse location, if a fuse goes out. Replace the fuse as soon as possible.
Caution!
- Data on the replacement fuse must match the data on the defective fuse.
- Before replacing a fuse, turn every vehicle electrical switch off.
- Spilling liquid on any electrical component on the vehicle may damage it. Always keep the covers on any electrical component.
Location of Fuse Boxes
Engine Compartment Fuse Block:
To remove the fuse block cover, squeeze the clips on the cover and lift it straight up.
Instrument Panel Fuse Block:
The instrument panel fuse block is in the glove box. To access the fuses, open the fuse panel door from the passenger side by pulling it out. To reinstall the door, insert the tabs on the top of the door into the console first, then push the door back into its original location.
Rear Compartment Fuse Block:
The rear compartment fuse block is behind a cover on the left side of the rear compartment. To access the fuses, remove the cover.
