Checking and Replacing Fuses in GMC Savana
The wiring circuits in the vehicle are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses and circuit breakers. This greatly reduces the chance of fires caused by electrical problems. Look at the silver-colored band inside the fuse. If the band is broken or melted, replace the fuse. Be sure you replace a bad fuse with a new one of the identical size and rating.

The vehicle may not be equipped with all of the fuses, relays, and features shown.
Spilling liquid on any electrical component on the vehicle may damage it.
Location of Fuse Boxes
Floor Console Fuse Block:
The floor console fuse block is located under the driver seat.
Engine Compartment Fuse Block:
The fuse block is located in the engine compartment on the driver side of the vehicle.
The headlamp wiring is protected by a circuit breaker in the lamp switch. An electrical overload will cause the lamps to flicker on and off, or in some cases to remain off. If this happens, have your headlamp wiring checked right away.
The windshield wiper motor is protected by a circuit breaker and a fuse. If the motor overheats due to heavy snow, etc., the wiper will stop until the motor cools. Although the circuit is protected from electrical overload, overload due to heavy snow, etc., may cause wiper linkage damage.
